Gm foods is a complicated subject and the answers were hard to find, but in the end I was happy with the end result, and I worked hard on my presentation and I hope i get a good mark.... :)

What is the science behind genetically modified foods?
Genetically modified foods are produced that have specific changes introduced into their DNA using methods of genetic engineering. They have been engineered for resistance to pathogens and herbicides and better nutrient profiles.
What foods are affected by this technology?
Cotton seeds, rice, soy, sugar, sugar beetroots, yeast, cassava, papaya, banana and tomatoes. Artificial preservatives and sweeteners etc.
What are the problems with this technology?
- Un-healthy
- contaminated
- Increases herbicide use
- they use tobacco sciences to claim product safety
What action has been taken to try and prevent the technology developing?
22% of parents are now informed and now buy organic foods.
15.5% more than before.
